01

Who we are and what this covers

Datelet is operated by the independent developer identified as the seller on Datelet’s App Store product page (“Datelet,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy covers the Datelet iOS app, the invitation pages and other services available at datelet.app, and related support communications (together, the “Service”).

For privacy laws that use the terms “controller” or “business,” Datelet is responsible for deciding how the information described here is used. Our service providers process information for us under their own terms and data-protection commitments.

02

Information we handle

Account and profile

Your email address, account identifier, chosen display name, hero selection, profile setup choices, pair membership, relationship start date, and Premium status.

Dates and invitations

The invitation title, date, time, duration, place or meeting details, food preference, theme, recipient choices, responses, counterproposals, status, and date history.

Device and service data

Installation identifier, device model, operating-system and app versions, locale, time zone, notification status and token, IP address, request timestamps, and limited diagnostics needed to operate and protect the Service.

Purchases and support

Subscription product, entitlement, transaction and purchase identifiers from Apple and Adapty, plus Stripe purchase identifiers and the email you provide in the paid web funnel. Datelet stores a keyed representation for account matching and a short-lived, encrypted copy for purchase activation and transactional delivery; Stripe receives the address on its customer record. If you contact us, we receive your message and any information you choose to include.

Datelet does not ask for your legal name, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or payment-card number to create an account. The paid web funnel asks for an email before showing subscription plans so the resulting purchase can later be connected to a verified Datelet account. Apple or Stripe processes payment details; we do not receive your full card number.

03

Why we use information

We use the information above to:

  • create and authenticate your account and restore your app state;
  • create, deliver, display, respond to, update, and delete date invitations;
  • connect a pair and keep shared date status consistent for both people;
  • send service notifications you allow, such as invitation views or responses;
  • process and restore Premium Pair access;
  • provide support, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and secure the Service; and
  • understand reliability and feature use through privacy-minimal product events.

Where applicable, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in providing and securing the Service, your consent for optional notifications, and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw notification permission in iOS Settings at any time.

No advertising profile. Datelet does not sell personal information or use invitation details for targeted advertising. Product analytics exclude invitee names, food selections, and precise venue details.

04

When information is shared

We disclose information only as needed for these purposes:

  • Your partner or invitation recipient. People with access to a valid invitation or pair link can see the information presented by that link and can submit the response the link permits.
  • Google Firebase and Google Cloud. Authentication, database, backend, hosting, push-delivery support, security, and operational services.
  • Apple. App distribution, in-app purchases, subscription management, and Apple Push Notification service delivery.
  • Adapty. Paywall configuration, purchase processing support, and subscription-entitlement management using your Datelet account identifier.
  • Stripe. Web subscription checkout, billing, fraud prevention, and subscription lifecycle processing, including the funnel email attached to its customer record.
  • Resend. Transactional delivery of one-time sign-in codes and web purchase confirmations, including the recipient email address, verification message, private activation link, fallback code, and subscription-management link.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer.

These providers may process technical identifiers and service data in countries other than yours. Their own privacy terms also apply to the services they independently provide.

05

Private invitation links

Datelet invitation links are intentionally unlisted and use long, hard-to-guess tokens, but they are bearer links: anyone who receives a valid link may be able to view its invitation and use the actions it allows. Do not post a link publicly. If you forward a link, you are choosing to give that person access.

Public invitation pages are marked not to be indexed by search engines. This reduces accidental discovery but is not a substitute for keeping the link private. Datelet stores a protected representation of a public token on the server rather than the raw token.

06

How long we keep information

We keep profile, pair, invitation, and date-history information while your account is active and as needed to provide the shared experience. Unanswered date invitation links expire after 24 hours, and partner invitation links expire after seven days. Records may remain longer when needed for accepted dates, shared history, security, dispute handling, accounting, or legal compliance.

You can delete individual eligible dates in the app. Choosing Delete accountremoves your profile, pair memberships, drafts, tokens, device/session data, and other personal app data. A past date may remain available to the other participant with your profile details removed. Limited records may also be retained when legally required or necessary to prevent fraud and resolve disputes.

07

Your choices and privacy rights

  • Edit your display name, hero, and relationship start date from Profile.
  • Delete eligible date records or your entire account from Profile.
  • Turn notifications off in iOS Settings.
  • Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account settings.
  • Keep invitation links private and regenerate a partner link when needed.

Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; withdraw consent; or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may complain to your local data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

To make a request, email swifterios@icloud.com. We may need to verify the request using a verified account email or the account or purchase identifier shown in the app.

08

Security and international transfers

We use encrypted network connections, access controls, authenticated app operations, high-entropy invitation links, limited public APIs, and other organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the Service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Providers may process information outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, or applicable data-transfer frameworks.

09

Children

Datelet is intended for people aged 13 and older, or the higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the Service, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

10

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the Service or applicable law changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will provide additional notice when required.

Questions or privacy requests can be sent to swifterios@icloud.com. Please do not send invitation links, intimate details, or other information that is not needed for your request.

Made for plans worth looking forward to.
